Dr Bailey undertook her anaesthetic training at hospitals in the South Coast Region and London. This included advanced training in Obstetric Anaesthesia at St George's Hospital and Head and Neck Anaesthesia at Charing Cross Hospital. 

Dr Bailey started her consultant career in 2010 at MTW NHS Trust and has clinical interests in Obstetrics and Oncology Anaesthesia. She was lead for Obstetric Anaesthesia from 2011 to 2017. 

Dr Bailey has an active role in medical education and patient safety - high fidelity simulation training. She is an honorary senior lecturer at Kings's College London and has a supervisory undergraduate role with King's College London since 2018.
